All of this can be ruined however by  a stuffy, watery nose, itchy eyes, and sinus infections.  Studies have shown that allergies and sinus problems can have as detrimental an impact on quality of life as chronic back pain or heart disease.  
The fact is that allergy is a progressive disease that worsens with time. Ignoring them will not make them go away.
Prevention is the best medicine for allergies.  Trying to “fix” symptoms once they occur is about as difficult as putting the pieces back together after an explosion.  You need to have an appropriate strategy to manage your allergies. 
The three essential components to any allergy management plan are avoidance measures, Text Box: medications and immunotherapy.  Any medical provider can prescribe allergy medications, run allergy tests and give “shots”, but to have a successful program you need someone with a commitment to education  and a partnership with the patients.
